My dog has black marks under his eyes. Should I be concerned?

My dog has black marks under his eyes almost like when a human is tired and has rings under their eyes. Should I be worried ? He is 2 years old. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 80 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Can you post a picture? If this is a new change then I would have him checked by your Vet. It could be bruising of the skin from a clotting issue or low platelets, infectious causes or trauma. Another possibilities is excessive tearing. Dog tears contain a pigment that is reddish brown and can stain the fur around the eyes. Please post a picture if you can so we can better guide you. I hope this helps!
