Diabetes mellitus, liver diseases, Gastrointestinal diseases like IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), renal failure, tumors like lymphoma, may all have some signs in common with hyperthyroidism. Physical examination, history and clinico-pathological findings (resulting from blood tests and urine analysis) can differentiate them all.
