Why does my dog's anal gland smell persist after vet treatment?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 10 months old

I have a three year old male gsd...foul n stinky smell is coming from his annus since a month ...the vet told that he has anal gland infection n gave him pencillin injectionS BUT there was no relief ..then he was given amoxicillin and wysolone for five days , even then the smell continues specially when he wags his tail...he has no problem in sitting,passing stool n does not lick his anus...kindly guide me regarding this n the course of treatment

Boozo is adorable. I am not sure if it was done or not but were the anal glands actually expressed? If it is an anal gland infection then they should be expressed and potentially flushed out and infused with antibiotics. If this was not done I would also consider getting a stool sample to make sure the Boozo does not have any intestinal parasites or a bacterial overgrowth.
