My dog needs worm treatment. What's the right deworming schedule?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 75 lbs

Hello, i have a 3,5 years old male boxer. I used to give him Trifexis, but due to how he reacted to it, i strted using Firstshield Trio instead. Which he is fine with, i have him on an essential wellnes plan with banfield pet hospital. So after i stopped using Trifexis, my question now is what do i for worm treatments ? Do i need to purchase that separate and give him monthly as he goes twice pr year to the hospital for check ups, would they give him something that would last 6months at a time ?

Treating for worms depends on Dino's risk for acquiring them. Normally, deworming only needs to be done once or twice a year. However, some dogs may have a more or less frequent schedule. It's best to take a stool sample to your vet for testing. They can tell if he has any worms and can advise you how often he should be dewormed. Below is a link to an article with more information about this. https://www.petcoach.co/article/fecal-exams-worming-schedules-for-dogs/ I hope that helps and all is well with Dino.
