My dog fell on the street. She seems okay, but should I be concerned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 45 lbs

My dog fell out of my arms and onto the asphalt of our street. She is acting completely normal, but I'm still worried. What should I do? She is about 45 lbs and is a boxer. 1 yr old.

I would strongly recommend to monitor her for the next 12 hours to see if any sign shows up. Considering the description of what happen it is likely that she will be completely fine. Any sign of pain/discomfort or anything abnormal please get in contact with us and possibly have her checked by your local vet. It is unlikely a fall of a few feet in such a large dog would do any significant injury but monitor closely for any restlessness or discomfort which should be checked by a vet to rule out any soft tissue or internal injury
