Great question! Kenji needs a puppy formulated food until he is 12 months old, which is when he can be switched to an adult food. This is because puppies require higher amounts of protein, calories, and calcium than adult dogs, and a puppy formulated food will provide that for him. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

    Hi there and thank you for using pet coach. For dog food, I recommend the following brands: 1. Science diet 2. Natural Balance 3. Royal Canin 4. Purina One I recommend feeding a puppy food until about 12 months of age and then transitioning to an adult formula after 12 months of age. I hope this helps!     Great question! I recommend Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I feel my own dogs Iams, and they love it. Just make sure you get Skye a puppy formulated food, she needs one until she is 12 month of age.

I recommend you feed dry food that is made for xtra small dogs like this one from Royal Canin. Yes, you can mix some canned food into it as well. It is best to feed multiple small meals per days with these little micro/mini breeds as they tend to get low blood sugar if they go too long between meals. Small meals 3-4 times per day is best - mostly dry food and just a touch of the wet food. Do this until about 6 months of age then you can go to feeding twice per day. According to the feeding directions on the back of the bag, it should be about 1/2 cup, so the amount you are feeding should be adequate. And, great you are feeding three times a day. It's actually time to consider transitioning Snowball to a puppy food as the RC Mini Starter is meant for pups less than 8 weeks old. It's good nutrition, but may be too much now. I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Any of the following brands can be fed so long as it is puppy food for small dogs. The food needs to be slowly transition over 7-10 days introducing the new food in about 20% increment every other day. For detail, contact your veterinarian on how to transition the food. Recommended brands are Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan, and Iams. Choose one, and stick with it until about one year of age. After that, transition to an adult formula for small breeds from the same brand. Void feeding anything other than the dogs food and a few treats made specifically for dogs. Hopes this helps!

Hi there and thanks for posting! I would recommend giving the Royal Canin x-small breed or mini puppy breed puppy food a try and these are more targeted and formulated for small breed puppies. At 9 month to a year of age, you can transition her to an adult formula from Royal Canin such as the formula for adult Maltese or the formula for adult Shih Tzu. I hope this helps!

You will need to feed a puppy food until a year of age. the best quality and tests brands are science diet, royal canin and Purina. From there it is personal preference as some have different flavors and some dogs has sensitive stomachs and do better in one kind but this can only be known by trial and error

Hi! She is so gorgeous! Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are many great commercial diets. The most important thing is to get the appropriate diet for their age. Ginger should be on a puppy diet for now given her age. When she turns 1 she should be switched to an adult type diet. There are many brands that are excellent. I personally prefer Purina and Royal canin products but really as long as it is a decent well-balanced diet, it is ok. Good luck!

Hello and cute picture! For an 8 week old small breed puppy, I would recommend a small breed puppy food. Royal Canin, Science Diet, Wellness Brand, and Blue Buffalo make good choices, however there are a variety of options out there. I hope you find a food she will really like. The important thing to remember is to have Cali on a puppy food until she is about 9 months to a year old. You can then transition to adult food after that.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! In the US we recommend Purina, Royal Canin, Hills/Science Diet, or Iams brands. I would choose a puppy formula in small bite size for Kylie. Make sure to mix her old food in with the new food over a couple of days so you don’t upset her tummy. Also, don’t change her food up too often so she can get used to the new diet. Kisses to Kylie!

I buy Purina Beneful Healthy bites for my almost nine month old pup and she seems to like it but the thing is she eats whenever she wants or I suppose whenever she's hungry and I went to the vetanarian and they say she's healthy and at a good weight
If Nala is doing well on the Purina, there's no need to change her food, but if you wanted to try another brand, I recommend Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams. Should you make the decision to switch her food, be sure to do it slowly to avoid GI upset. Mix together the old food and new food, and over the course of two weeks, slowly increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of old food until Nala is eating the new food only.
