Why does my Labrador keep getting painful bloody skin bumps?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 88 lbs

I have a Labrador, and from last 2 years he is continuously developing these bumps filled with blood, it’s so painful to look, we have tried everything from sugar test, Thyroid test, skin scrapping changing food etc... nothing works and he is getting worse we have shown him to at least 7-8 Vets but even they can’t make out what’s causing it, please help. I’ve spend so much money, it’s not about money but medicines, tests, expensive food, comes with cost, please HELP!

Poor Bruno! Given the severity of his signs and failure to respond to initial treatments i would recommend trying to arrange skin biopsies to be sent to a specialist veterinary dermatologist and sites at all stages and the normal skin edges around the lesions should be taken. A university or international specialist lab should be contacted to examine the samples, a full history of all previous tests and treatments should be included with the skin samples
