My cat kneads me. Why do cats knead people and what does it mean?

What does it mean when cats knead people? My cat does it to me all the time.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Usually when cats knead they purr and it brings them contentment and security (they like it) which is likely linked to when they were nursing kittens. They tend to knead also before laying down, so they may be preparing their bed, blankets or lab to lay down. When they knead their own it is a sign of affection and love! I hope this helps!

    Hello, and thank you for your question. It sounds like Kibblez is "kneading" you, which cats frequently do when they are very content. This is a perfectly normal behaviour and is a sign that she is very relaxed and happy with you. :) I hope this helps, and that Kibblez is healthy!
