Why is my dog's stomach moving after diarrhea, vomiting, and worms?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | neutered | 4 months and 15 days old | 25 lbs

There is a ball like thing moving around my dogs stomach when he sleeps. He does not seem to be in pain or anything. He has recently had diarrhea and vomiting, but has been ok for about 2 days now with bland diet and medicine. I did find one worm in his stool yesterday as well.

Since Dodger has a slick coat you may be seeing his stomach and intestine mobility. They can be more active and moving when dogs have an upset stomach or diarrhea. As he's improving with the medication and he's already being treated for parasites I recommend just monitoring this to see if it goes away when he's feeling better. If it continues I would share a video with your veterinarian and have an exam also if needed. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Dodger.
