I am so sorry to hear that Bravo isn’t feeling well. Bright red blood in the vomit often means that the esophagus is bleeding usually secondary to forceful vomiting and irritation. However, I would encourage you to have a follow up appointment with your veterinarian. If the liver isn’t working well then clotting function can be disrupted and bleeding can be concerning. Anti nausea medication may be helpful and further testing may be recommended. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.

Hello. So sorry that Pippin may be having an issue and I apologize that no one answered your question sooner. In the future if you need an immediate answer please ask a priority question or ask for a one on one consult with one of our experts so you can get a quick answer. It has been a few days now so I hope Pippin is doing well. It sure looks like blood that he vomited. I would have recommended a vet visit as that can sure be serious. He could have parasites, a stomach ulcer or any number of other issues. If he is back to normal that is great. If not, then I strongly recommend you take him to the vet for a visit. In the meantime, a bland diet like boiled chicken and rice would be nice to feed time as it would be easily digestible if he stomach is compromised in any way. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
