Why is my young female cat meowing constantly even with attention?

My cat meows at absolutely nothing she has toys out enough food and she plays with her mother she's a year and 4months and very vocal. Her mother is very quiet. Why is she meowing? I'm in most days so she always has attention. Indoor cats

Since your cat has not been spayed she may be increasing her vocalizations because she is in heat. You may want to try and have her spayed and see if that helps the behavior. Best of luck. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Great pictures! Your cats are beautiful! Just like people, cats can have different personalities and some cats are just more vocal than others. Since Kaydee is healthy and wants for nothing it is likely her personality and seek your attention. You can try getting a laser pointer to distract her, throw treats or toy mice, get cat trees or cat window shelves that look out to a bird feeder, brush her or just let her sit on your lap. I don't think you will be able to quiet her down but you can try to distract her attention to other activities so it doesn't bother you so much. If her vocalizing is bothersome then do not react when she is loud as to not reward that behavior and only play with her when she is quiet.
