Yesterday I gave my new puppies (momo and jiji) deworming medicine because they had so many worms that their poop was basically white. Their poop (diarrhea) is liquid (dark brown color) and for the past 3 stools or so there has been a bit of blood (almost none, but still visible). I am not sure if I should be worried or not? also, they pooped really big white worms earlier today. So big i had to help take them out because they couldn't poop them all by themselves.

It sounds like your puppies are suffering from round worms and have never been wormed before. Apparently the wormer you gave them is working well and they are now pooping out great quantities of dead worms. Unfortunately puppies who have such a great quantity of worms often do not thrive well enough and have a seriously "violated" intestine. You may want to feed your puppies boiled white rice with boiled white boneless chicken for a day or two (several feeds over the day) to help the intestine get some rest and heal. You will have to worm your puppies again in two to three weeks as they will still have eggs that will develop into worms within the next two weeks. The second worming should then take care of those before they can lay new eggs. Best wash your hands well after handling your puppies.

Congratulations on adding Remington to your family! I would recommend to deworm Remington again as soon as its safe (and that depends on what product you are using). Worms are very common in puppies so they usually get multiple deworming in the first few months. Also, these worms can be transmitted to humans so be sure the use strict hygiene and do no allow Remington to lick you in the mouth. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after playing with him and before you eat. Feed him boiled chicken and white rice for the next 24 hours. If the diarrhea continues, take him into the vet. Sometimes the dewormer can cause diarrhea but it usually resolves easily. Please post again if you have any other questions!

How lovely of you to take in Lady, and it's excellent you took her into the vet the next day! Yes, it can be normal to have diarrhea after having a deworming treatment as it can be caused by the dead worms moving through the GI tract. The diarrhea should clear up in a few days. It's also normal to not see any worms it the diarrhea. Be sure to give her another deworming treatment in two weeks to kill all the worms. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
