My dog was in the same room while painting wood with oil for wood, so I right now readed that fumes can harm dogs, can they really? If would harm her would symtoms be instant?

Similar to humans, fumes can be irritating to the eyes and respiratory tract. If the ventilation was appropriate enough that you were comfortable then likely your dog was too. If you were wearing a mask then your dog probably should not be in that area. Watch for any coughing or difficulty breathing. If this occurs then I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she does well. Thank you for using Pet Coach.

Hello, thank you for your question about Joshie. If Joshie was only exposed to the fumes for a small amount of time while the painting was going on she should not experience any harmful side effects. Animals generally need to be exposed to very high concentrations of the fumes to experience toxicity. Hope this helps!
