Is basil water safe for my dog with arthritis? Will it help her?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 36 lbs

Hello, I have just started growing fresh basil because I drink it in infused water as an anti-inflammatory and it also contains antioxidants, I was wondering if I could let my dog drink cold basil water? My vet says she is showing signs of early arthritis. I am giving her a glucosamine tablet every day with her meal, but I wondered if this natural remedy might also help, any advice would be welcome. Thank You Graham Smith

Basil isn't toxic to dogs, so it's fine to Pasha the cold basil water. She may not like the taste, however, and probably won't drink it. In addition, this will not help at all with her arthritis. Glucosamine is a good idea to give her, and you could talk to your vet about pain relief if she appears painful. I hope this helps!
