Is it safe to change vets for my puppy's next vaccines? What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 10 days old | 12 lbs

If I get my puppies first vaccinees and then change the location for the next vaccines, would that be safe? If so, what should I be aware of? What questilns should I ask the next vet clinic?

Sure that is no problem to change locations. Just make sure you request that the initial clinic send his medical records to the new clinic. That way the new doctor can review his record prior to the visit so they know what vaccines he is due for. At your visit with the new doctor just verify they have the medical record so everyone is on the same page for what your pup needs at the visit. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
