Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | unneutered | 6 years and 10 months old | 10 lbs
A few days ago we noticed my cat had developed these sores? at the corner of his mouth. The other side is perfectly fine and we can't see anything wrong with the gums. I have contacted our vet over the phone his clinic's 400km away. He suggested we apply a human med Somogel since animal meds are not available here. I saw one of its ingredients is Eucalyptol BPC 0.1% v/w and was wondering if its safe to use, alternate meds or is there something else to speed healing? His eating is normal

Eucalyptus oil can be toxic to cats, but this is probably a low enough dose that it would not cause a problem. I am not familiar with Somogel but if your veterinarian recommended it you should continue to apply it as long as Simba doesn't seem to be getting worse. If the sore isn't improving you should make the trip to see the vet - it may need a biopsy.
