My cat has UTI, not eating, vomiting, peeing outside box. Emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3.17 lbs

Its been 3 days since I took my cat from the vet due to UTI and he still can't pee in his litter box but what's weird is he keeps peeing all over the house. And he hasn't been eating anything, I've been trying to force feed him but he instantly pukes out the food but he's been drinking a lot lately. Is there any signs I should be concerned of?

Persistent vomiting and anorexia are signs of significant illness in cats, either from fever, infection or inflammation. Urinary obstruction leads to dangerous toxin build up and potential kidney injury and hospital treatment is necessary immediately and may include intravenous fluids and medications. Occasionally kidney damage can be irreversible
