My puppy's lost tooth is still bleeding after 24 hours. Is it serious?

Hey! I adopted a puppy from my local SPCA yesterday, she lost one of her big puppy teeth just before we fetched her, I know it's normal for them to bleed a little but it's been almost 24 hours now and she's still bleeding, should I be concerned? Is there any way to eliviate some of the bleeding? It seems to have slowed down this morning and the hole is clogged up but it keeps opening again

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is actually unusual and could be due to more than typical trauma occurring causing this. There could be an actual lesion in the gums causing the excessive bleeding. For this reason, I recommend that you have Lola evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
