Why does my dog keep peeing inside the house after going outside?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed

Hello! PLEASE HELP. We got my dog coco about 2 minutes years ago. At that time we also had another dog he was old and died a year ago but he had been peeing all over the house due to labor failure. Anyway recently we have found out coco has been peeing all over as well we try and take her out all the time but she still pees inside. How can we help her stop? My dad says if she doesn't stop soon she is going back to the pound. Please help!!!! Thank you

I would take Coco into the vet. There could be a medical reason behind why she is urinating in the house, such as a UTI or bladder stones. She could also be suffering from something called spay incontinence. The muscles controlling the urethral sphincters can weaken in spay dogs, leading to incontinence. The good news is that all these things can be treated, but it does require a visit to the vet. Have your father call her vet in the morning to make an appointment for her. I hope this helps.
