My dog pees a lot but only poops once or twice. Is this normal?

How many times should my dog go to the toilet each day? She does wee frequently but poos only once per day sometimes twice

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is fine and normal. Many factors go into how many times they are expected to defecate a day such as the amount of fiber in the diet. Defecating once or twice a day would be fine. Good luck and have a great day!

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This depends on many factors such as the type of food, how much water the dog is drinking, how many times a day the dog goes out, among other things, but at least, a dog should be expected to urinate about 4-5 times a day and defecate 1-3 times per day.
