Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 65 lbs
My 13 year old golden retriever couldn't quite finish eating her breakfast this morning and then vomited it up. Before taking her to the vet I thought I'd try a mild dinner tonight such as rice and ??? to see if her stomach has settled. We haven't changed her food in years. We did have severe thunderstorms all night which might have bothered her (although they usually don't). What food do you suggest?

You could feed boiled chicken breast and cooked white rice and see if she feels better within 24 hours. If she doesn't want to eat that or she continues vomiting she should probably get checked out by a vet since she is an older girl. If she isn't normally bothered by thunderstorms, then it is unlikely that they would cause her to lose her appetite this morning.
