How to prevent my indoor cat from being terrified when moving?

I’m going to be moving on Friday and Kovu is always terrified of any change. What is the best way to keep him from being terrified when we move? He’s afraid of anything new and I’ve heard that cats can run away if they are scared when you move. He’s an indoor cat. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 11 lbs
