My dog has brown/black dirt-like dots on her nipples. What can I use?

My two year old terrier mix has some brownish/black dots around her nipples. It looks somewhat like dirt but doesn't brush off. I tried scraping it off with my fingernail and it worked (she showed no discomfort while I did it). Is there something I can put on it for removal? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 80 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good day!
