Yes, it is possible for a female dog to get pregnant on her first heat cycle, however I do not recommend it since she may not be done growing yet and she may not be mature enough to take care of puppies in a couple months. Not all male dogs will be able to impregnate a female before they reach maturity.

It is possible she could be pregnant. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "is it safe?" Neither of the dogs are likely to be injured, but pregnancy is possible. Here is some information on pregnancy in dogs; your vet may be able to help you diagnose whether or not she is pregnant but it will be 3-4 weeks before you will be able to know. https://www.petcoach.co/article/pregnancy-diagnosis-caring-for-the-pregnant-dog/ I hope that helps you, thank you for asking PetCoach!

Breeding any dog before a year old is not recommended since she is not fully grown or strong enough to support a pregnancy. This can lead to growth issues and/or a difficult whelping (birth) for the mother. Responsible breeders wait until a hitch is about two years old before breeding. By the time she is ready to breed, he will still be interested in her.
