So yesterday, Oscar was jumping onto this new table we got and I kept putting him down as I didn't want him to knock over stuff. At night, he got up on the table again and i think tried to catch a fly? But he fell kinda awkwardly on his back leg and hurt it. He limped for a few seconds and was in distress (hissing, growling etc). He calmed down and his leg seems to be fine and he can walk perfectly on it. He also lets me touch his leg without showing any signs of pain. What should I do now?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Oscar. If he is acting normally and not limping, he should be fine. However, you will want to monitor him closely. If the lameness recurs, this indicates that he is still painful. Do not give any over-the-counter pain medication as these can be toxic to cats. If he acts sore again, he will need to see his veterinarian!
