Should I worry if my dog breathes heavy, shivers from loud music?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 23.11 lbs

My dog started breathing heavily with shivers and palpitations and got normal after 15-20 minutes. Can it happen due to loud music in the surrounding? Do I need to worry?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This can certainly be due to being nervous or anxious from loud noises. However, if this continues, other possibilities like a respiratory condition should be considered. If it continues despite the loud noises not being present, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!
