My cat is trying to pee but only dribbles. Is it a UTI or emergency?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 years and 7 months old | 5 lbs

My cat keeps going to the litter box to pee but ain't, is dribbling around the house She is very uncomfortable and can't lay still. I have tried apple cider vinegar but it's not helping. Sleep looks miserable. Plz help

You need to have her looked at. Most likely she has a urinary tract infection. But she could also be having problems with her kidneys. If she is only dribbling and seems very uncomfortable there could be something making it so she can’t urinate. That is an emergency situation. My advice is to have her seen.

    If it has been ongoing for weeks and he is able to pass urine this is unlikely to be a life threatening emergency but should be assessed by your regular vet as soon as possible. Monitor for any loss of appetite as well as his thirst and any signs of discomfort such as straining or vocalising which may help to pinpoint underlying causes. It is likely your vet will want to do a full urinalysis and possibly a scan of the bladder
