Why is my rescue dog licking his lips and having trouble eating?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 7 lbs

My 2 yrs male rescue having trouble eating. 5 vets have checked. Teeth OK tongue OK etc. I suspect esophagitis. Lots of licking his lips. How can I help him?

I am sorry to hear about Fenn. If he has not had imaging done, such as dental x-rays, a barium swallow, and endoscopy then this would be the next step. You may need to go to a specialty hospital/referral center for these procedures. Your vet may also consider a drug trial with an antacid or a GI protectant like Sucralfate/Carafate to help coat the lining of the esophagus/stomach.
