Hi, I have a one year old female ferret. I noticed that she has very tiny orange spots on her tail. She’s never had any health issues and was wondering if I should be worried. Thank you for your time.

Orange spots can be an indicator of adrenal disease in ferrets. This needs to be diagnosed by a veterinarian and treated as well. There are particular tests that are performed to help confirm this suspicion. Typically, surgical removal of the adrenal glands is recommended. However, before jumping to this diagnosis, I would recommend having Alex examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
