My dog's diarrhea medicine isn't working, what should I do next?

My dog has diarrhea and was given propectilin tablets which worked only for a day, what to do?

Hello, sorry to hear about Waffle. Some GI signs may persist for up to 5 days. In addition to the medication you were given, you may try to feed your dog a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and low fat cottage cheese for 3-5 days. If his signs are not improving, or if he develops bloody diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, or a decreased appetite, then he should be evaluated by his veterinarian again as he may need additional medications.
