My new kitten hisses at my older cat. How can I make them friends?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

not sure how am i gonna sum this up, but, just got a small kitten (famale) introduced to bigger one and i though that the bigger one will atack her, BUT, ACTUALLY SMALL, REALLY SMALL ONE doesnt accept the bigger one, bigger one wants to play, its not aggressive at all (she is shy) and she wouldnt fight even a mouse, now im not sure how is this possible but whenever she approach to kitten, kitten starts to make sounds like(HHHH) to get her away so she just go back, how to make them get along?

It may take time for Lilly to accept your other cat even though she is the smaller new cat. Some cats just don't do well together so if this behavior continues or gets worse I would recommend either talking to a veterinary behaviorist (if there is one in your area) or considering finding someone who can provide Lilly a great life as an only cat.     It can take time, even up to months for them to really get used to each other. I would recommend just giving them their space, each other them their own time with you and letting them have their time to get used to each other. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
