How horrible for you on your first night with your new puppy that Buddy is ill! Yes, definitely take him into an ER vet now. I'm very concerned that with his age and the dark color of his diarrhea that he could have parvovirus. He won't be fully vaccinated, and parvo is very contagious. It's best to have him seen now to be safe. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
