My FIV positive cat hasn't had a vet check-up in 2 years. Is it time?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 2 months old | 14 lbs

I adopted a cat about 2 years ago, at the time of adoption he was up to date on all of his shots and vaccines. His name is George, and at the time of adoption we were made aware that he is FIV positive. We have adopted him 2 years ago and we have not taken him to the vet since because he has never been sick. I was wondering if he should be updated on on any shots or if you would recommend a some type of check up for him?

Yes, I definitely recommend taking George into the vet. He should have his vaccines updated, and given that he is FIV positive, he should have regular visit with the vet (at least yearly) to make sure he isn't suffering from any ill effects from the virus. Give the vet a call tomorrow to make him an appointment. I hope this helps!
