My cat was stung, now vomiting & limping. Is it an allergic reaction?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 18 days old | 9 lbs

My sister was outside with Bella and she suddenly heard her growl at something. She tried to pick up Bella but she ran away and she was limping. I looked around and saw that there are bees around so I think maybe she got stung but when I put her inside she threw up around 10 times. I brought her to her litter box and now she also has very liquidy diarrhea. This all happened around 20 minutes ago and she won't stop throwing up. My question is should I be worried and is she ok?

You absolutely need to be worried. Profuse vomiting and diarrhea are signs of severe allergic reaction- which I am even more concerned about if there were bees. There are other explanations but allergic reactions can be life-threatening, especially if all this has already happened. I would take her to the emergency clinic immediately for treatment. Best wishes to you and Bella!
