It widely varies how much a dental costs depending on where you go and how much dental disease there is. For example, at my practice, we charge $320 for a dental cleaning, which can drastically increase if there is severe dental disease that requires extractions. Some clinics will start out well above $320. It is best to call around and ask how much a basic dental cleaning would be with no extractions. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Costs in the US for dental cleaning vary widely based on geographic location, as well as a wide range of costs depending on how severe the dental disease is (if extractions are needed, etc). Full mouth X-rays are ideal even when the teeth all appear healthy, just as we have X-rays taken at the dentist regularly. Call your local vet's office for prices, but be prepared to spend at least $200-500, possibly more. You can call a number of different veterinary offices in your area. Again, general anesthesia is really required to do a good quality, safe, thorough dental cleaning which is why the cost may seem high.
