Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 25 lbs

My dog has a cherry eye on both eyes. I recently spotted something sticking out of her stomach. like a little lump. I don't know what to do. I tried massaging the eye and adding dog eye drops and the lump on her stomach but it isn't working. vets are expensive I don't have the money at the moment. but I'm very worried. is there an inexpensive clinic near me? please help me.

Unfortunately eye drops won't help with cherry eye. Most cases will need surgery to tack the gland back into place. It is easier to fix successfully soon after it shows up rather than years later, but it is not necessarily an emergency. https://www.petcoach.co/article/cherry-eye-in-dogs/ I can't tell for certain what the lump on her stomach is, and it should be examined by a vet. Dogs can get mammary (breast) cancer, and it is more common in unspayed female dogs. A vet will do an examination and may take a small sample of cells to be examined under a microscope. Other possible causes for a lump on the abdomen are infection or abscess, other type of mass or tumor, a hernia, etc. https://www.petcoach.co/article/mammary-cancer-in-dogs/
