Why does my dog have recurring red skin circles and hair loss?

I have a 3yr neutered male blue nose pit named Chance. About 4 months ago started with red circles on stomach. Took a course of antibiotics x10 days and Claritin x14 days which seemed to help but then the symptoms came back. Now has patches/circular areas of missing hair. Pet's info: Dog | Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 98 lbs

This is common in his breed. A fungal culture is used to diagnose ringworm. If these tests are negative, then an allergy is more likely. Environmental allergies are common in the summer.
