Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | unspayed
I took pixie to the vets yesterday 20/8 at 2 pm after I was growing worried about the welfare of her, she had passed a little blood so I wanted to get her in for a section. Luckily I did as she was found 2 have 4 pups 1 of which died 12 hours ago and 1 a few days. With her 2 remaining pups she is slowly progressing. My question is when does the panting and digging stop after a section. I only worry as she is digging up the bed and completely trapping the pups in bedding in the corner of her box

I'm glad you took Pixie into the vet! French Bulldogs often need c sections to give birth. The panting can be normal. When the puppies nurse, that stimulates the release of oxytocin, which then causes the uterus to contract and leads to the panting. She's likely digging to make a nest for her puppies. This should pass in a week or two. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
