Why does my Panther chameleon have lumps and sores on its body?

Hello. Our Panther Chameleon has developed several lumps / sores on his head, feet and body. Please could you let me know what this could be?

Poor little guy! I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian for a good physical exam. These guys can get bacterial and fungal infection of the skin. It’s important to look at the lesions and possibly run a few Test to determine why the lumps are present. Hope that helps

They have the appearance of papillomas. This would need to be confirmed by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. The good news is that are typically benign but may lead to secondary infection. The bad news is that there is ko cure. It is possible he has suppressed the virus until stress of some sort caused it to surface. If you have other reptiles, wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling him or cleaning the enclosure.

Hi!! I have an adult Ambilobe Panther Chameleon and in the beginning of September I noticed a tiny bump on his eye. Since then it has gotten bigger. I’ve tried to google this before taking him to a vet (which I don’t have many exotic vets in my area)
This kind of lump/growth needs to be ideally assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration). Differentials include skin cysts, infections, benign or more sinister type of tumors. This growth needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Buddie to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.

My juvenile panther chameleon has a small lump on the side of his mouth. The lump is black and has a green speck. I've heard it could be a burn or blister, and my local zoo-vet doesn't open until tomorrow.

Second thought is calcium deficiency and coccygeal (tail) vertebral luxation. Check and correct husbandry and diet, but an examination with someone with reptile experience is recommended. Good luck.

There is 3 small lumps in the first photo and 2nd photo has a slightly raised area with a scab that looks a but yellow am treating with imflamol but the lumps are more red than before and the other wound is new the skin around that is quite reddened
Hi there, It looks like Panda may have either a bacterial skin infection or bites from a parasite. There is also a chance these a growths on his skin. I would recommend taking Panda to your vet for an exam. They can determine what exactly the bumps are and prescribe medications to clear them up. Best wishes to you and Panda. My snake has lumps on his body. He had mites a month ago and I put him in quarantine and treated him twice with Jurassi Mite. Since then I haven't seen any mites. He also recently got a new CHE bulb over his tub. I'm wondering if they are infections
Those bumps aren't presenting the way burns would, but without a physical exam, it is difficult to say for sure. Infection would be high on the list. You'll need to have him seen by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. If infection is diagnosed, S will need antibiotics. Keep him warm and as stress free as possible until he sees the doctor. S soak in a warm 50/50 solution of water and unflavored PediaLyte can treat or prevent minor dehydration. It may also provide some itch relief.

The white spot on your Veiled Chameleon's casque looks to be shedding skin that has not come off yet. Mist him with warm water to aid in shedding. It is common for lizards to lose toes. What likely happened was some shedding skin did not come off properly and restricted blood flow to the digit resulting in the loss. As long as it is healed up, there is no cause for concern. The darkening of his colors may indicate stress. Survey the area in and around the enclosure for any negative stimuli. This may include loud noises, strong vibrations, bright lights or cold drafts. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! The lumps could potentially be tumors. This could be a benign or malignant growth. This is most of the time differentiated with a test called a fine needle aspirate which is easy, cheap and pain-free. Sometimes, a biopsy is required for a diagnosis. Have Bumble bee evaluated by your veterinarian to have this test performed to try to sort out what the diagnosis is so that the best course of action can be determined. They could evaluate his nails as well which he could potentially have an infection going on. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is something benign!
