My 10-year-old dog suddenly struggled to move his hind legs. Why?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 6 lbs

Hello! My dog is very hyperactive and exhibited typical behavior just today. However, after a few hours, I heard whimpering and observed my dog having a hard time moving (her hind legs mostly). He then tried to move and succeeded a little before laying down and shifting her hind leg 90 degrees with respect to the ground. This went on for about 5 minutes before she became his normal self again. This has never happened before. Should I be worried? He is 10 years old by the way.

It sounds like Bonbon may have hurt himself, and yes I would be worried since this is not normal behavior. It could also be that he is suffering from arthritis, which can be common in senior dogs. I'd give his vet a call in the morning to have him examined. If he is suffering from arthritis, the vet can prescribe pain medications for him. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
