My cat is always nervous and skittish. What helps cat anxiety?

Can cats have anxiety disorders? He always been nervous and skittish and will calm if i hold him and or give him silver vine nip (other nip causes him to get worse). He gets spooked about the not moving fan and or his shadow. He usully only calms for me (mommy). Picture so you can meet him.
