My feral cats aren't eating. What's wrong, and what can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I saw 3 feral kittens a few months back and they seemed hungry so i fed them canned tuna and since then i started feeding them to a point that they only eat what i feed them besides them hunting mice and stuff. They don’t live inside my home but they trust me now and even rub their heads on me. I feed them boiled chicken, canned tuna, left over fish sometimes and even whiskas dry food. They ate normally but for the past few days they stopped eating they barely eat. What could be the reason?

Typically when cats stop eating, it means they are sick. It's actually very serious when a cat stop eating, as if they don't eat going on 72 hours, they develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. I would take them into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
