Is it safe to give dog Trazodone for storms after flea/tick meds?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | 7 years and 1 month old

Is it okay do you think to give my (border collie/boxer mix) dog one of his trazadone pills for thunder when he’s already had his flee &tick (Credillio) medication today...?

There is no problem with combining isoxazoline medication like Credelio with trazodone. It should be fine to give the trazodone as prescribed. Potential side effects of both medication include diarrhea and a decrease in appetite, but if you have given both medications before without a problem you’re unlikely to see this problem now.
