Is it safe to get my dog's vaccine boosters early after her spay?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 13 lbs

Hi, my dog is due for her dh2pp, bordetella & rabies boosters on Sept 7,8 and 15. Do we actually have to do it on those specific dates or can I do it earlier? I was planning to get her vaccination boosters tomorrow, Aug. 18 since she has a post spay check up. will it have any affect on her health that Im a bit earlier than the anniversary date?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Blueberry. Most veterinarians will vaccinate early if it closer to the due dates as long as the patient is healthy. So if she has fully recovered from her spay, it should be fine to vaccinate her at that time. I hope this information helps!
