How to help a car sick dog? Is Dramamine safe or are there alternatives?

My dog gets car sick on long car rides and we are going to be taking a trip on Monday. Am I able to give her Dramamine to help or is there something else I can give her to help her be more comfortable? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 43.3 lbs

Try feeding her some ginger capsules, that usually takes away the nausea. And when you are not on a trip, start getting her used to driving in the car. Feed her in the car, go on 3-5 minute drives, slowly extending the time. This usually helps getting the dog used to being on a trip.
