My senior dog is digging and clingy after surgery, is this normal?

My dog never really lies outside. He has been digging a hole and laying in it for hours recently and doesnt want to come in the house. When he is inside he will not leave my side. Acting really out of the norm. He isb12 years old an just went to the vet to have a mass removed that was binine. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 10 months old | 85 lbs

I would recommend a check up for Bruno. I know he just went and had a growth removed but if there is something now starting he may just be showing symptoms. I hope he feels better soon. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
