Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered

my 12 year old pit since last night just cant put his back paws down. he is shivering and wont even eat his favorite food. He did have a bad experience a few years back where he was operated on twice in one week and then he had a problem with his back end but we gave him Ricki Litchfield capsules and it seems to rectify the issue. They did x ray him and said he had chronic arthritus. That was 3 years ago now as I said he cant walk and when he does he hops with both back legs. what can I do.

I am so sorry that Milo is not doing well. I would be concerned that the hopping on both back feet could be an issue with his lower back. He should get checked out by his vet again. This could be a neurologic issue (which could be caused by a herniated disc) or could be caused by severe pain in the hips, which could be arthritis. NSAIDS could help with inflammation and arthritis, and Milo may need additional pain medications.
