Is this spot on my cat's neck ringworm? Should I be concerned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years old | 9 lbs

My boyfriend and I noticed this spot on Tempest's neck the other day. I can't get a good picture but I was able to get a couple screenshots from a video I took where she managed to show off this mark. Is this something to be concerned about?

I'm really sorry but it is impossible to tell anything from the photos. I do appreciate you trying to post them though! They are very grainy especially when I try to enlarge them. I can't tell if it is a wound, a ringworm lesion or what. I don't think I would be "worried" but I would concerned enough to get her to your vet for an exam. If it is ringworm, it can be transmitted from cats to humans. You need to know what the lesion is before starting any treatment. You are welcome to post again with better photos but please understand it is impossible for us to diagnose (and it is also against the law) over the internet so you will likely get the same response. Best wishes.
