French Bulldog ate chili, now in severe pain and shaking. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 3 years and 7 months old | 30 lbs

accidentally fed my french bulldog a small amount of chili, she started to shake a lot and was clearly in pain. After a good night sleep, I thought she was OK but when I tried to lift her she let out a loud "scream" and started to shake again. it's been two days now, and she doesn't move almost at all and is frightened of her surroundings. What should I do?

This sounds very concerning , could be from the chili, but could also have other causes such as a severe abdominal problem. There is also a possibility that Lyyli may have a problem with her spinal cord, such as intervertebral disc disease. You need to take her to your veterinarian for an exam, preferably today as this does sound like a serious condition. She is obviously in pain.
