My 5-month-old kitten suckles and bites. How do I stop this behavior?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 4 months and 21 days old | 3 lbs

5 month old kitten suckling and she gets very obsessed with it bites me. What can I do to change this Behavior. I don't not want her to come to my lap or face for kiss. Oh and she is very congested too. Thank you for your time.

First, have Pippin examined by your veterinarian to diagnose respiratory infection or inflammatory disease that could be causing the congestion. Redirect her suckling behavior to an object. If she bites or nips you, correct her immediately and provide an alternative. If she persists, discontinue interaction until she settles down. Every time she nips or bites, put her down or remove her from the room. Be firm and consistent.
